AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Monday stressed Jordan’s commitment to boosting its relations with Qatar.
During a meeting with Qatar Attorney General Ali Al Merri, Ensour highlighted the various challenges facing Jordan as a result of regional conditions and increasing economic pressures due to the large number of Syrian refugees in the Kingdom.
Under the current circumstances, Jordan needs, more than any time ever, the support of its brothers, the premier told Merri, noting that Jordan is still waiting for Qatar’s contribution to the Gulf Cooperation Council’s grant to the Kingdom.
Merri asserted that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, highly appreciates His Majesty King Abdullah and the Jordanian people, commending Jordan’s achievements in education.
