AMMAN – Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Tuesday met with International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Director General Inger Anderson, who commended Jordan for hosting the union’s regional office.

She also praised environment-related legislation in the Kingdom and its conservation projects.

Anderson underlined the IUCN’s support for Jordan in addressing environmental challenges that are made worse with the influx of refugees.

Ensour mentioned projects with direct environment impact that are being implemented in the Kingdom, such as the Red Sea-Dead Sea Water Conveyance Project.
