Interior minister receives teachers syndicate delegation

By Petra - Nov 20,2014 - Last updated at Nov 20,2014

AMMAN — The Interior Ministry and relevant security institutions will not spare any effort to stop assaults against teachers and provide them protection according to the law, Interior Minister Hussein Majali said Thursday.

Majali made these remarks at a meeting with Jordan Teachers Association (JTA) President Hussam Masheh and other JTA members to discuss assaults on teachers.

The delegation cited some issues that concern teachers such as receiving subpoenas in front of their students, which, they said, affects their professional reputation.

Majali stressed the importance of changing these procedures in cooperation with the Education Ministry, JTA and relevant institutions.
