Hungary offers 400 scholarships to Jordanian students

AMMAN — The Hungarian government increased the number of scholarships allocated for Jordan from 226 to 400, Higher Education Minister Amin Mahmoud and Jordanian Consul in Budapest Zeid Naffaa said Wednesday.

Mahmoud called on students wishing to study in Hungary to check with the ministry as of Thursday.

Naffaa said the scholarships cover bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in medicine, engineering, international relations and political sciences, noting that there are currently 600-800 Jordanian students in Hungary.

Naffaa said the scholarships include tuition fees, housing expenses, health insurance, $200 a month for BA and MA students and $500 for PhD students.
