AMMAN – Most ministries and government departments will be off on Wednesday due to the prevailing weather conditions, according to an announcement by the Prime Ministry.

The announcement, carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said some ministries and departments whose work is badly required during the current conditions will be working, including the ministries of interior, health, public works, municipalities and water.

In accordance with the communiqué that was issued by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, the Greater Amman Municipality will also be working as its services are badly needed.

A polar front is expected to bring rain and snow to the Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday. On Monday and Tuesday, heavy rains caused floods in various parts of the country, disrupting traffic and causing damage to infrastructure, including tunnels and bridges.
