AMMAN — Fuheis and Um Al Jimal municipalities on Saturday signed a twinning agreement to enhance joint development.
The agreement, signed by Fuheis Mayor Hweishel Akrosh and Um Al Jimal Mayor Hassan Ruhaibeh, aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise in development, tourism and cultural sectors.
Akrosh noted that in the past, Fuheis was the home of successful nations that stand proud in the history of Jordan.
According to Ruhaibeh, Um Al Jimal was built by the Nabataeans and was then conquered by the Romans in 106 BC.
He said the agreement will facilitate any possible renovations of archaeological sites.
