AMMAN — Jordan Economic Social Council President Jawad Anani on Sunday stressed the serious challenges facing the Jordanian economy at this stage. The economic situation in Jordan is going through a critical stage and so far, there have not been any signs that usher a nearby breakthrough, he said during a meeting of the Economic Policy Development Forum. Dealing with this situation requires an integral, well-defined and a comprehensive strategy that covers the different aspects of the crisis or else the economy will keep drifting from one crisis to another.

Anani said successive governments failed in managing human resources and they have not benefited fully from the country’s natural resources, pointing out that Jordan is the last country in the region to implement e-government services.
