AMMAN - The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle 186,000 Captagon pills into the Kingdom.

JCD Director General Ghaleb Sarayreh said the narcotics were found inside a vehicle with a foreign licence plate at the Jaber Border Crossing.

Also yesterday, the Public Security Department (PSD) said the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) had foiled an attempt to smuggle more than 92,000 Captagon pills to a neighbouring country.

According to PSD Spokesperson Lt. Col. Mohammad Khatib, the AND also foiled an attempt to illegally transport 20,000 Captagon pills from the north of the Kingdom to the southern region.
