AMMAN — The Lower House on Sunday continued its discussion of the draft income tax law.
During a House session, deputies endorsed several articles of the draft legislation.
At the beginning of the session, Deputy Ali Bani Ata (Ajloun, 1st District) asked for clarification from the government regarding the closure on Thursday of the road near Ajloun National University.
Bani Ata said there were rumours that a “treasure” was found in the northern governorate and asked the government for comment.
House Speaker Atef Tarawneh said the issue will be examined further by the House’s Integrity Committee on Monday.
He also scheduled an unofficial meeting between deputies and the government to discuss the matter on Tuesday.
