AMMAN — Prime Minister Awn Khasawneh on Wednesday visited the Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) to check on its preparations for the coming parliamentary and municipal elections.

The premier said the CSPD will experience a "huge" workload in the coming year due to the elections.

CSPD Director General Marwan Qteishat briefed Khasawneh on the department's needs, particularly the shortage in staff.

The PM promised to provide the department with its human resource needs.
