AMMAN — A ceremony was held on Thursday at the Royal Court to distribute buses and vehicles, under a Royal initiative, to institutions serving people with disabilities, senior citizens and orphans across the Kingdom.
The initiative targets 29 institutions concerned with young people, women, vocational training and local development.
The initiative is part of His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives to empower relevant civil society institutions and develop their performance to present social and humanitarian services to targeted local communities.
Royal Court Secretary General Yousef Issawi attended the ceremony and stressed King Abdullah’s keenness on developing the capabilities of such institutions.
