Cabinet approves deals with China, Armenia

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a projected economic and technical cooperation agreement with China.
Under the agreement, the Chinese government will provide an $8-million grant to Jordan to fund developmental projects to be agreed upon later.
The Cabinet also authorised the Department of Statistics (DoS) to conduct a field survey on energy consumption in the transport sector required by the UN Economic and Social Commission for West Asia.
The Council of Ministers also authorised DoS to conduct a study on youths in Jordan needed by the study and survey unit at the Arab League.
The Cabinet also approved an agricultural cooperation agreement between the Kingdom and Armenia.
