AMMAN — The King Abdullah Centre for Excellence on Monday announced the launch of the Jordanian Exports Award, which is designed to reward improvement in the performance of the export sector.
The award programme, which is supported by the EU and the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation, aims to honour exporters who show dedication and encourage companies to improve their export activity.
National exports reached around JD5 billion last year, compared with JD1 billion in 2000, despite the difficult regional situation, Ministry of Industry and Trade Secretary General Maha Ali said during the launch ceremony.
