MAFRAQ — Zayed Hamad, head of Al Kitab and Sunna Society, on Wednesday said the value of cash and in-kind donations to 50,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan reached $10 million.

Hamad added that the society, in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, had helped distribute assistance to Syrians who fled the ongoing violence in their country.

He called on all concerned parties to establish a database of Syrian refugees in order to organise the distribution of in-kind donations.

Hamad also noted that the number of Syrians benefiting from the society’s aid has gone up from 35,000 last month to 50,000.
