AMMAN — The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) referred 30 suspected corruption cases to the attorney general during the first six months of 2014, according to a well-informed source from the ACC.

The source added that the ACC has received 639 complaints and tips regarding suspicion of corruption during the same period but has shelved 260 of them either due to lack of evidence or because they fall  outside its jurisdiction.

The source said the ACC has referred 109 complaints to concerned agencies for follow-up and another 97 to the Public Security Department for investigation.
