AMMAN — HH Princess Dina Mired, director general of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), on Sunday inaugurated the ninth annual summer camp for paediatric patients at the King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC).

The four-week summer camp includes various activities such as magic shows, theatrical and musical performances, games, face painting and a variety of other entertaining and educational activities, a KHCF statement said.

“The annual summer camp is considered one of the most successful activities organised by the KHCF as it constitutes a major part of the overall therapeutic process we implement for our young cancer patients,” Princess Dina commented in the statement.

“The activities bring the children plenty of joy as they spend time with their family and friends,” she added.

The Princess also thanked KHCC volunteers, sponsors who provided in-kind donations, such as meals for the kids, and those who helped plan fun trips and other entertaining activities for the kids taking part in this year’s camp, the statement said.

Established in 2003, the summer camp is held in the outdoor playground area of the KHCC.

Cairo Amman Bank is sponsoring the camp for the sixth year in a row as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.
