52.49% per cent pass rate recorded in Shamel exam

SALT — Results of the 2014 summer session of the Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, were announced on Tuesday.
Al Balqa Applied University President Nabil Shawaqfeh, who is also head of the higher committee for the exam, said 11,993 students sat for the exam, 6,295 of whom passed, bringing the overall pass rate to 52.49 per cent.
Students represented 48 public, private and military colleges in 98 specialisations, he added.
