AMMAN — The 32nd International Arab Youth Congress is scheduled to start next week, according to a statement from its organisers, the King Hussein Foundation’s National Centre for Culture and Arts (NCCA).
The theme of this year’s congress is “New Media and Development”, with discussions covering social media, freedom of speech and ethics in new media.
This year, the seven-day congress will be held on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the NCCA and the bicentennial anniversary of the rediscovery of Petra by Swiss explorer Johann Burckhardt, the statement said.
The congress’ official opening ceremony will be held in Petra.
