25% of tourists visit Mafraq — official

MAFRAQ — Mafraq’s antiquities department has renovated several old churches and Christian sites in the Um Jimal area, department director Abdul Kader Hissan said on Saturday.
He noted that 25 per cent of tourists arriving in Jordan visit Mafraq due to its archaeological sites, noting that a new tourist guide for the governorate will be issued soon.
